Hello. that’s right. Many American people even American politician believe that this way is not democratic.in 1970 they tried to change this method but at the end stage for unknown reason this project didn’t accept by parliament. this kind of election was helpful for Trump but it is funny that he believe that this method is not good and have to change. I hope he change electoral college because he is unexpected and unpredictable. Thanks
